Bon appétit sous le soleil des Pyrénées

Welcome to the Vertige de l’Adour

The Via Ferrata course in the ‘Vertige de l’Adour’ goes along cliffs and a spectacular canyon dug by ‘l’Adour,’ the local mountain river.

The participants are attached to safety steel cables with two lanyards fixed to their harnesses.

It is a Nepalese aerial bridge, a monkey bridge, swings and rocks to climb that awaits you in the Vertige de l’Adour. All that goes with an astonishing view of the falls called “Cascade du Garet.” The course ends with the most spectacular zip line in the area overhanging the waterfall. The Cascade du Garet is 50-meter high and provides unforgettable experience as you climb up next to it!

Via Ferrata in the Vertige de l’Adour is an experience that you can go through on your own or share with your family, friends or colleagues. Enjoy this family day out, birthday party, school trip, or teambuilding whatever your fitness level or age are. You are always accompanied by one of our certified guides who will help and guide you through all the activities. Because your safety is our priority!

Apart from this great adventure, the price includes free parking and a cup of tea or coffee. Moreover, there is a picnic table and ‘la plancha’ so that you can relax and have a barbecue after finishing the Via Ferrata course.

The course is perfectly suitable for the whole family! We have an appropriate course for kids from 3 up to 8 years old. Your little ones are looked after by our staff while you are up in the canyon. Children who are 9 and older are allowed in « the big course. »

What happens in case of bad weather?

You can have just as much fun in the rain as you can in the sun! The first thing in the morning is that we assess the weather conditions and the route and we always put your safety first and we will not operate in extreme weather conditions. We may need to close the course or parts of the course at short notice due to storm or extremely high winds. Should this happen, we will contact you as soon as possible.  Our team will organise another day for you to come back to complete your adventure! (Conditions may apply). If you are in any doubts – call in advance to check. But the course is under the trees so if it rains a little, you are covered!
